Srishti’s N5 campus is a single building shared with another institute. After conducting an audit on food and land, the lack of greenery within and around the campus was noticed. The canteen space was singled out for the intervention to bring greenery within the campus. The furniture was insufficient and dull, but the room was found to be sky-lit and spacious. Acknowledging these facts, the space is designed with customized furniture to accommodate more youngsters and add freshness to the space along with making provision for installing plants.

The factors that are considered while making the furniture are as follows:
Indoor plants and herbs that do not contain toxins or allergens
Herbs used in the canteen menu
Maintenance of the plants
Systems of growing an indoor garden
Local availability of required resources
Architectural standards
Functions, area and stakeholders
